Air Oil Separator (AOS) - Subaru WRX (VA)

Overview

This air oil separator for the VA Subaru WRX keeps oil out of the intake tract, where it would otherwise lower effective octane and invite detonation, power loss and carbon deposits. One unit handles both the crankcase vent and the intake filter locations, and it installs like a factory component with no tune or setup changes.

Filtration comes from four 5 micron coalescing filters, one at each inlet and outlet, backed by internal baffling and stainless mesh. An optional coolant hook-up kit circulates hot coolant through the separator to limit condensation in cold weather. Note that the anodized finish can fade over time from engine bay heat.
