Backing Plate Kit - BRZ/FRS/GT86

Overview

This kit is a starting point for a do-it-yourself brake cooling setup on the BRZ, FRS and GT86. A stainless backing plate carries a formed dry carbon duct that aims air at the center of the rotor, drawn from the high-pressure zone in the front bumper. That helps resist brake fade and boiling fluid and extends component life. It works with OEM and aftermarket big brake kits, and includes pre-cut brake duct hose, fender ducts, a 3D-printed carbon nylon inlet, and rust-proof stainless hardware.

In severe cases the plate may need trimming, for example an AP Sprint kit combined with Whiteline roll center adjusters. The AP Sprint fits untrimmed on factory ball joints.
