Overview
The UCW is a bottom-mount rear wing for the C8 Corvette Stingray that uses a low-pressure zone beneath the wing to press the car down, adding significant downforce for a small drag penalty. The airfoil comes from the V1X, optimized with ANSYS adjoint analysis, wind tunnel testing and CFD, and its sleek mounts span a wide area and sandwich the engine cover for strength and low drag. Uprights sit where airflow is already disturbed.
The wing is 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon, autoclave cured with a high-gloss clear finish, with a mounting kit machined in-house from 6061-T6 aluminum. It handles over 500 lbs of downforce, and stainless hardware and installation templates are included.
