Overview
On 2008+ Subarus with the EJ 2.5L, the factory plastic shield beside the hot exhaust header can melt over time, which may lead to AVCS malfunctions. This replacement heat shield for the AVCS cam sensor is formed from 1.6mm 304 stainless sheet and lined with heat-reflective gold foil cut to size. It lowers heat at these components and outlasts the OEM piece.
It bolts on with stainless hardware and also works with the OEM header.
