Overview
This block-off plate for the factory hood scoop on the 2022+ Subaru WRX (VB) improves aerodynamics and cooling. With the scoop closed, the engine bay is no longer force-fed high-pressure air, which lowers under-hood pressure and lift, improves airflow through the cooling stack (front-mount intercooler and radiator), and helps keep the engine bay clean and dry. It suits cars that have moved away from a top-mount intercooler to a big front-mount unit or a charge cooler.
The plate is 1.6mm 5052 aluminum with a black powder coat and a laser engraved logo, and it is made in the U.S.A. Installation is quick and needs no cutting or drilling.
