Overview
This bottom-mount UCW rear wing for the C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible bolts to the factory trunk and adds a large amount of rear downforce with a small drag penalty. The airfoil creates a low-pressure zone under the wing that pulls the car down, and it was optimized with CFD, wind tunnel testing and an ANSYS adjoint solver. The mounts sandwich the trunk lid for strength and lower drag.
It can generate and withstand 500+ lb of downforce, enough to balance a strong front aero package such as the Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit. The wing is 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber, autoclave cured, with a 6061-T6 mounting kit machined in-house, plus stainless hardware and templates.
