Overview
The V1X rear wing kit for the 987 Porsche Cayman pairs a 300mm chord swan neck wing with a carbon spoiler to add rear grip at speed. Verus Engineering developed the wing and its companion aero parts in CFD, and the airfoil offers 15 angles from -1 to 14 degrees and can generate and handle over 700 lbs of downforce at 120 mph. It is built by a U.S. motorsport wing supplier from autoclave-cured 2x2 twill, 3k pre-preg carbon fiber with a carbon inner rib and endplates. FEA-analyzed CNC machined 6061-T6 uprights balance strength and weight, and the spoiler bolts to the OE trunk at many points.
